Action packed!

I've been so excited about this new series featuring the Minnesota Kingstons. I look forward to meeting these new characters and seeing who has connections with which previous characters. Jack is full of action and romance, as usual. Jack and Harper's story is, of course, riddled with tension and danger, but it is also so beautiful and sweet. Having all the action play out against the backdrop of Boo and Oaken's wedding was so fun. I loved that peek into their happily-ever-after (which started in One Last Shot, in case you missed it). So many beloved characters made appearances for the wedding, which was fantastic, just like catching up with old friends. A solid start to the new series, and I'm looking forward to book 2!

FANTASTIC start to a new series! I'm hooked.

Well, heeellllloooo Jack.

Truth be known, I’ll read anything with this author’s name on it. Since falling in love with the Kingston family at Sky King Ranch (Sunrise, Jan. 2022), I’ve been gobbling up Susan May Warren’s novels. I’ve come to love her engaging characters, perfectly paced plots, great social presence (best newsletters ever) and her seemingly continuous release schedule.

The sparks and the witty banter drew me in and I loved the connections between the series. This one benefitted from the multiple POV and different types of conflict, and the second chances/redemption theme, making the hero’s journey so relatable and compelling. I think I’ll always reach for a Warren book because she consistently turns out well-crafted and fascinating characters I feel I’ve met before because they’re so real. Warren doesn’t rely on her plot to make them interesting.
